Zoo Party Games
Check out these ideas of zoo party games to play at your zoo birthday party.
JUNGLE CHARADES
For this zoo party game cut out some animal pictures from old magazines with your child. Paste them on index cards and at the party each child has a turn to pick one. The child later has to act and make noise until the others shout out her identity. After this all children imitate the animal together for a few moments.
CATCH THE LION BY THE TAIL
Kids sit in a circle on the floor. The lion partici´pant has to put a yellow craft similar to a lion tail. He later begins circling, touching each child on the head saying "Lion." Whenever he shouts "Hyena!" the lion then must dash around the circle and take the hyena's spot before the hyena can grab the lion's tail.
THE GREAT PEANUT HUNT
Before the guests arrive, hide unshelled peanuts around the yard or house. At the party, explain to the kids that they, as elephants, must go out in search of a tasty meal. Give each child a plastic sand pail, then send your trumpeting herd out to forage. The one who harvests the biggest crop wins the game.
You can also invent your own zoo party games. For example; jungle tag instead of a common game children can become animal chasing other animal. Another game you can make a few changes to is Monkey may I? instead of the tipical mother may I?.
Children can also play monkey in the middle. Two children have to throw the ball to each other. The monkey is in the middle and has to try to catch the ball. If the monkey catches the ball the one who threw the ball last becomes the monkey in the middle. It can also be played willmmore children you have to make a big and spread circle.
